Naturopathic Medicine
Naturopathic Medicine is a system of medicine that believes that the body has the innate ability to heal itself when given the correct conditions to do so.
Finding the underlying cause of disease and treating it rather than covering up symptoms is a major tenant of Naturopathy.
Each person is looked at as an individual, so there are no set protocols for any one condition. Naturopathic doctors look at the WHOLE PERSON and that individual's health history to decide on which therapeutics are most indicated for their condition.

Homeopathy
A system of medicine that is based on the priniciple that "Like Cures Like." Homeopathic remedies are diluted to such an extent that there are no measurable particles of the substance detectable in the medicine, however the energetics or vibrational energy of that substance is left imprinted on the medicine. A homeopathic remedy is chosen for in an individual based on that individuals symptom picture which could involve physical symptoms, mental symptoms, and emotional symptoms. The remedy that is ultimately chosen is one that in a "proving" produced similar symptoms to the disease state, and that if this specific medicine is taken, it will cancel out the symptoms, thus making the individual well or moving the individual closer to wellness. Sometimes an individual will become better from just one remedy, other times it will take several remedies over a period of time depending on the complexity of the disease state. Using homeopathy is like peeling away layers of an onion. Some disease states can have multiple layers that need to be peeled away before a state of wellness is reached (such as chronic diseases) while others may only have one or two layers to peel away so to speak (such as an acute illness).
Hydrotherapy
Hydrotherapy is the use of water for delivering hot or cold temperatures to various parts of the body which produce different physiological effects on the body. Instruction for home hydrotherapy can be given which is easy to do and very effective.
IV Therapy
Intravenous therapy is used to administer high doses of vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients and does not depend on the gut for absorption of these substances due to their direct adminstration directly into the bloodstream. IV Therapy also includes heavy metal chelation which rids the body of years of accumulation of heavy metals which may be causing symptoms of disease.
Acupuncture
The Naturopathic Doctors at Phoenix Holistic Health Center have all been trained in acupuncture during their medical school training and acupuncture is included in Arizona's scope of practice for naturopathic doctors.
